Long, long ago (abt two weeks to be exact), i recall my mum purposely waking me up, the night before she left for Taiwan, to tell me that she bought otah for me frm Malaysia so that i can eat it w rice and not eat instant noodles everyday when she's gone. She even made sure that i see her putting the otah into the fridge so that i know exactly where it is. So i just said, "orh" and went back to slp.
Naturally, i forgot all abt it until 3 days later when i saw the otah sitting at the same position where my mum left it, so i went to cook it and ate it with rice like the good gal that i am. I know, all of you must be shaking your head at my foolishness right now.
The next day, i had mild gastroenteritis, but since the day before i also ate tom yum maggie mee with some chicken i found in the fridge that is of unknown age and the supper my dad bought for me 2 nights ago, the jury is still unsure about which is the guilty party here.
One day later (read: 5 days after my mum left for her trip and 6 days after she bought the otah), i opened my freezer door and saw another FIVE more packs of the same otah. I think my mum must have planned for me to eat a pack a day. Faced with the prospect of eating my dad's soup+rice again, i was very VERY tempted to cook it (it was really quite delicious), but since my mcq test was the next day, i wisely decide not to risk it, so casting longing glances at the otah, i closed the freezer door and called my dad.
That night, i told my dad abt the otah and he was like "cannot eat already lar! throw away!" When i told Catechol abt it, he said, "dear dun be silly, otah cannot keep so long one!" To which i replied, "huh... really meh?"
This morning (read: 2 weeks after my mum bought the otah), i woke up to find the house empty and an sms frm my mum saying that she cooked for me. i lifted up the lid of the quali and lo and behold! i see the otah staring at me (all warm and ready to eat). So i sms-ed my mum to ask her if the otah still can eat.
She said, "i dunno. Didn't try. Good luck to you if you eat it."
i peng-ed (translation: fainted out of disbelief and disgust -_-")
Now i'm still considering, whether or not i should attempt to eat it.
