I'm back (sort of)

Haha.. i've decided to blog in BOTH my blogs from now on.. since i really like my wordpress blog, and also the blog stats function actually lets me know how many pple read my blog a day...

I'm dying to blog abt my hk trip (so sweet of you, sm, to sms me to tell me to blog haha) but i've got a hundred and one things to do cos i haven been studying, doing anything, doing ethics case write up (which Wk force me to finish by next wk) for the past week because i've been horribly horribly sick.. i still am actually.. and Wk is convinced that i have spread my germs to alot of pple in nni, including our dear beloved tutor, resulting in him cancelling his weekly lecture... (*cough* he even offered me his lozenges despite me going to special means to prevent this from happening)

Anyway, neuro at nni has been really fun. Everything is sooooo interesting yet so high level.. We went to the Movement Disorder round the other day and felt bewildered that how come there're no mos around, instead the 4 registrars sat around a meeting table with one consultant at the top of the table. Something was just somehow wrong with the picture but i couldn't put my finger on it until 15minutes into the lecture, i noticed that the registrars were actually taking notes on some random pieces of scrap paper! The scene was so funny i almost burst out laughing. But sadly, i couldn't share my glee with anyone cos 80% of the students present had already fallen asleep. Then after the lecture, the consultant started quizzing the regs, eg. "tell me all the causes of essential tremors, let's go round the table" it's exactly like one of our tutorials... And it's so amusing to see the very same regs, who confidently gives us super good mini-tutorials off the top of their heads, hedging and stumbling over the questions.. Which proves the theory that in medicine, no matter how good you are, there's always someone that's better than you.

Sigh i really really like neuro, but sadly the ONLY way i can get in is if i got a brain transplant. [No Wk i'm not even going to THINK abt the other option.]
