Electives are so slack

Or rather... we're so slack...

It's been two weeks already and i still feel like i haven been doing much in hospital.. thanks to my new grand plan which i persuaded Wk to adopt also, ie. come to sch in the morn and do intensive clerking and leave when the kids have their lunch so tat we can go home and read up abt the cases we clerked... Sounds good ya? But not when you have the self-discipline of a.. of a.. well, of me. I always suspected tat i have zilch self-discipline and finally have been proven right by my going home everyday to slack in front of the tv. And somehow, our morning in sch became a mere two hours because, either one of us would be late, and we would spend alot of our time standing around talking to e other paeds elective peeps or just playing w e kids (some of them are soooo poor thing, i tell u).

We were so bored that we actually dragged a whole bunch of us over to the police headquarters next door to have lunch!! I was just saying that that was the first time i set foot in a police station and that sprouted off a whole chain of stories in police stations. I tot ht's story was damn funny, abt how her tester got arrested for taking photos of a female examinee and therefore all his examinees got called up to give their testimonies, inc ht, who was totally upset tat her photo wasn't taken. Hahaha tat girl is just too cute.

And the highlight of our two weeks there is actually Ben & Jerrys Free Cone Day!! Haha we actually got a lift to reach there at exactly 11.57am so we were one of the fortunate few who got to take part in the exciting countdown and cheering from the crazily enthu waitresses, balloon man and cow person. [Xc: "help! get me away from the balloon man" Me: "huh? wat balloon man?" Balloon man (from right behind Xc): "hi would you like a balloon?" I let out a small yelp and jumped behind Cris who promptly hid her face with the pamphlet.] The cow person has rather ghastly looking udders which were, shall i say, strategically located if he were a guy. And we all felt a moment of solidarity and kiasuness when we greeted the NNI peeps who rushed here in betw tutorials for free ice-cream.

In the course of the two weeks, i lost count of the number of times tat Wk said to me, "we're so slack, must start mugging".
To which, i'll always reply, "relax! it's just the electives."

Kinda makes me wonder what to say when she tells me tat when we're year 5s.
