And also some of my colleagues now are going to the same hosp too! I already warned the future orthopod that if i catch him slacking away at one corner while i'm worked half dead i'm gonna be so PO-ed. And he had the gall to say, "haha and i'm not going to help AT ALL." Bleh! So much for going thru thick and thin tog here.
I sms-ed a fellow HO fren who's there now, and she replied, "yay! come suffer tog with me!" Crap!
By a lucky fluke of miscommunication, my MO asked for post-call for me at an obscenely early time, which resulted in me going off at 2pm. So I'm still feeling quite high now which is why i'm blogging and not sleeping like the dead. (I did sleep like the dead on the train back and also in the train station while waiting for Catechol tho, i have GOT to stop sleeping on trains, I keep missing my stop and I'm positive I look an absolute sight!)
New team this week. Still not used to the pattern of this team. I'm still used to (or mayb so traumatised it's embedded in my brain) the hurricane style of ward rounds of the previous team.
In the previous team i go, "ptvomitx2tempafebvitalsstableNBONopassingflatusleftsump300righsump250aspnilRdrainamylase1034Ldrainamylase560" all in one breath. And the con will immediately say, in his one breath, "offRsumpoffRmorrisonskeepleftsumpsenddrainforamylasespigotNG8to8rptblds6amgetachecktubeapptfortdy" with the last plan usu said as he's walking off. And usu when i finish writing the plan i rarely have time to draw the abdomen and scribble down some exam findings before the con has disappeared from view.
In this team i can say, "Wah! She's now afebrile!"
AC: "Waahh! REally ah??!!!!!"
MO: "it's a miracle!!!!!"
And that will be it.
Anyway i think i will enjoy the last mth here. It's nice to know how things run and know most of the nurses such that they will offer you food and occasionally take blds for you and you have someone to chat with while doing work.
But I will DEFINITELY not missed the long uncomfortable train ride home when i dunno when i will sucumb and drool on the shoulder of the guy next to me when i sleep.
