MBBS Day 4

Osce - could be worse. So i'm not complaining.

Worst station: Intubation.
My first station! With emed Prof Suresh some more! Waaaaaahh.. the odds are against me even before i start lor!
And it's intubation! My anesthesia tutor told me before that intubation is not required of medical students and house officers lor...
Sigh.. as a result I was super ga-bra throughout the station, not sure if i intubated successfully, think i saw the chest rise a few mm,but might be my brain playing tricks on me cos I was willing it to move. Anyhow, dun care, just went on to check for breath sounds.
Then I got scolded for not wearing gloves some more.
Sigh.. got me so flustered at the end that when I went for the second station : the geri counselling one, I talked at like 500words/min lor. The daughter just stared at me blankly.

Favourite station: Angry son abt father's above knee amputation
I got the ttsh Ortho Prof Low, he very cute, when I walked in and said "good morning" he said "Afternoon already!" Note that the previous 6 stations all never say anything.
Then the angry patient son also look very funny, like he ran out of steam being angry.
I suppose they're supposed to stand so that the moment I walk in they're going to pounce on us and barrage us with accusations.
But when I looked at him uncertainly (err you mean this young dude is the patient's son? he look younger than me lor!) he also looked back at me uncertainly, like he's standing becuase he's not allowed to sit like that. And silently.
So I have to say,"err.. i understand that you are angry....?? please sit down." haha.

Bloody hell.. I spent too much time mugging for med and the osces, my surg is almost mon-existent.. die die die
