Ah finally ortho is over... I've never really fully realised how absolutely boring ortho is... hmm wait a minute.. Boring-Bore-ing... i think this lame joke sound familiar.. oh ya! i HAVE blogged abt how boring ortho is previously.
I think it's because previously i was with the guys, who always knew how to liven up a boring day... or mayb i was very slack and went home early every day.. or maybe it was our 'dealings' with prof wong which spiced things up abit... but after this interminably borrrrrrring two weeks, i'm just very very very glad that i'd never need do a ortho posting again.
And of cos, CGH: the one hour plus journey is enuf to bring down the spirits of anyone, coupled with the fact that our day starts at 7.30am everyday.. major sigh...
I always get mixed feelings whenever I get posted to CGH, because my very first posting, medicine, is there and somehow the first posting of the past 2 cgs i've been in is in CGH. So going to CGH always makes me think abt how we first 'broke the ice' when we were sitting on the benches outside the cso. For my med/surg cg, I rem I was the latest, and I walked towards everyone doing my usual "sorry sorry i'm late" routine. For the year4 cg, i was very shocked to find that even though I was late, I was like the 4th person there.. haha.. And of cos, who can forget Kamisah, who always bring a bittersweet smile to my face (cos the thought of seeing her again is equivalent to me having to travel one hour every morning).
This time, CGH brought a new significance to me, because this is the first posting in three years that us jie-meis are in the same hospital doing the same posting tog.. It's so nice to have our usual silly chats during lunch or over 'coffee', definitely brightened up my call day. Also, this time brought abt the advent of 'Super Puzzle Fighter'!!! We have looked on amazed as the guys all immediately gravitated towards the game the moment they stepped into the student lounge, and we see them relentlessly silently and seriously thrashing each other. It wasn't till the last day that we girls got a chance to play it, and amidst screams and whines (Wk), weird spectacular structures (again Wk), not knowing what the hell I was doing (me), I got addicted to the game. It was a good thing the student lounge wasn't up yet when we were doing medicine or I would have been spending all my time there.
Doing this posting with the girls (prob the last time we'd be tog) and planning the JMEEP (how the hell do u pronounce this) made me think abt our europe trip again, and despite me saying again and again that I must finish blogging abt it, i really can't see how i can.. So I was flipping through the photos to find inspiration and I came across this extremely funny photo:
Us, freezing our butts off in skirts. Check out the grimace on my face...
Heh heh... Me and my amazing x-men like (Storm) power.
A msg to gh, who has yet to witness my powers: Be warned, my friend, be warned.
