So he decided to do something different this year.
See here for more details:
He is quite sore that i only videoed his first attempt because in his subsequent attempts he actually managed to get the Pooh bear in the grip thingy and succeeded in moving it closer to the target.. Alas, someone else came along and spoilt his progress and flipped the bear onto its front. And because Catechol look so sad and i got quite hungry, i forcefully dragged him away....
Sometimes, it's really the thought that counts.
We had dinner at Menottis,
1) I would devote a substantial part of my life learning how to make such delicious soup, because, what is life without good soup?
2) Failing that, i would marry the guy who can make soup like that.
Hmmm... yes, i dun need you guys to tell me that i should just skip straight to goal number 2.
Speaking of guys that can cook, have i mentioned that i am recently obsessed with Anthony Bourdain? I'm trying to read all of his books and I spend everyday, when i should have been mugging for ortho, watching his shows on cable. [He is this celebrity chef who travelled round the world eating alot of crazy stuff] His books are really great ~ i highly recommend his "A cook's tour" where he talks abt his travels in heart-wrenching, stomach-churning, beating snakeheart eating detail.
As i told Catechol (when he scoffed at my greatest love), "the man can cook, he can write, he has the looks, the sardonic wit, the wicked sense of humour and as a bonus, a healthy sense of adventure. He is the perfect man!"
Naturally, Catechol didn't take too kindly to that.
