Lost is making me very lost

Warning: No spoilers but do not read if you still want to hold Lost in high regard

The producers of Lost have taken the art of ‘leaving you hanging by a thread’ to a whole new level. They especially revel in doing all those horribly meaningless flashbacks (I used to like these flashbacks, but now they’re really starting to get on my nerves) right at the point where you go ‘oh shit!’ so that your mind makes use of the flashback time to go off at a hundred million angles trying to figure out what had happened. And then they throw you right back into the action and show you a completely new twist that just turns the story into a totally different thing altogether. At the end of the day, your mind is well and truly twisted until now I lost track of what was the main mystery of Lost I in the first place.

It helps though to watch with someone who is almost pulling out all his hair in frustration. We started to create our own scenes. It helps to keep us sane.

We wished that they would just get on with it and do this:

Plane crashees: err hello hello, are you… the OTHERS?
Others: well yeah I guess… though we just call ourselves ‘ourselves’
