Old photos

My dad was looking through all my old photos today and they brought back so many fond memories. Some were extremely adorable (my baby photos) and some I want to burn such that no one would ever lay eyes on them again.

There was once my JC good friend became colleagues with my sec 1 best friend, whom I lost touch with except for the yearly birthday smses. My sec 1 best friend (I have no idea why she did it, maybe she secretly loathed me all these years) gave my JC good friend a photo of me at my ugliest. And I really mean really ugly (think short boyish hair cut in a toot fashion, thick glasses and pimply face, plus it was a candid shot, so my facial expression…well, let’s just say that it wasn’t exactly flattering.) My JC good friend took one look at the photo and fell off her chair in shock and horror, then she rolled about the floor laughing in glee and amusement. When she showed me the photo, I immediately tore it up into millions of tiny pieces without a second thought. But she then happily informed me that she had made hundreds of photocopies (or so she claimed) and had even scanned the photo. Naturally I didn’t believe her, so she showed me not one but A FEW black-and-white copies of myself, and solemnly told me that she would only release me one copy at a time whenever I do something nice for her such that I would be in her clutches forever hur-hur-hur-hur (yes, complete with the high pitch laughter and san ba hand action).

Anyway, I remembered how you gals said that I always have the act chio look whenever I take photos and I realized today that I had cultivated that habit since young. Must be in my genes, in fact, I’m sure I saw a similar look on some of my mum’s old photos.

See...
