My first day in clinics

Today i'm going to blog about my first day in clinics. Wait a minute, you say, how can you blog about your first day in clinics when you're supposed to be in the clinics?

I came to NUH this morning in a state of anxiety, excitement and fear. Fear because i was going to be late and on the train, i kept hearing Wenkai's last words to me yesterday "Jamie, DON'T be late" and i had a mental image of her chopping me up into bits with a parang. Anyway, i finally reached and we went up to the meeting room with all my bits intact. We waited there for 15min and then had a 10minute talk by John Isaac and then came the highlight of the day. Our cg leader told us our tutor couldn't make it for our 9am tutorial and so that was changed to 3pm. And then our 2pm tutor forgot about us too and so THAT tutorial became 30min. So essentially we have a 6 hour break from 8.30am to 2.30pm.

Someone decided to go home and sleep, others went off so that left five of us who decided to go for breakfast at Engine macs for some bonding. And THEN, that left Leonard, Wenkai and i hanging around in the NUS student lounge. Two years in med fac and this is my first time in the student lounge. Sigh what does that say about our hectic clinic life?

Right now, I'm bored stiff in front of the computer, Wenkai is reading her Browse and Leonard is washing his face.

Ok, that's all for my first day of clinics, an exciting start to my clinical life!
